"What is paradise, but a garden, an orchard of trees and herbs, full of pleasure and nothing there but pure delights."
~William Lawson
We are very fortunate to have locally grown Florida blueberries, strawberries, blackberries and peaches so close to our place. Last week (Friday) we had the pleasure of visiting a peach farm in our neighboring town for the very first time, Graham's U-Pick Peaches Farm. The trees are loaded with fruits (and they're huge!) and have good heights so that even kids can pick them without any difficulties.
Oh I am telling you, there's nothing like fresh picked peaches. What a beautiful thing to pluck a juicy ripe peach from a tree and bite into it, juice dripping down your chin. Oh, if only you can smell and eat one of these...sooo delicious! These might be the best, juiciest peaches we've ever had!
We left the orchard with three baskets full of beautiful peaches and wonderful memories. It was a fun day at the farm. We had a grand time and picking fresh peaches were totally a lovely experience. We will definitely be visiting again next year!
Having fresh peaches makes one inspired to bake. I've already made two peach pies and a yummy cobbler from our peach picking.
Graham's U-Pick Peach Farm is located in Umatilla, Florida, about 44 miles North of Orlando and this is only their second year of business operation. It is a wonderful place to visit with your family and the owners are very friendly.
